How can I help you?
Following a career at executive level, including 9 years as Managing Director for a technology business in the built environment, I know how challenging running a business is – and how lonely it can be at the top of an organisation. A trusted external advisor / sounding board / critical friend is key to challenge assumptions and make better decisions.
I enjoy providing that support and challenge to other business leaders – giving them the confidence to make the decisions that are right for them and their business.
How I work:
I am curious, enjoy building trusted relationships, and am open and collaborative.
I strongly believe that people are at the heart of business success. Supporting your team isn’t ‘soft’, it makes commercial sense. Giving your team clarity and the right skills and tools in which to do their jobs is essential. Making sure you create the right environment for them to grow and thrive, is the gold dust that unlocks trust, performance and results.
Interesting facts about me:
Outside of work I’m a lifelong country girl, and enjoy exploring the local Mendip Hills and further afield, usually with my crazy cockapoo. Otherwise, I spend my downtime keeping fit, catching up with friends, watching rugby or stretching my brain. I enjoy learning and challenging myself!
I have had the pleasure of working closely with Sarah for the last 18 months. She has been a joy to work with and a key partner in enabling collaboration. Working with senior leaders, authority and leadership styles require the ability to read a room and bring the right approach. I have witnessed Sarah’s enabling leadership style – backed with her own authority based on skills and experience – keep a room together and openly curious when I suspect other styles of leadership may have accidentally heightened division and reestablished silos. Sarah has consistently operated expertly within the balance of reassurance and empathy whilst brining appropriate challenge and a relentless focus to outcomes – a critical set of leadership skills to drive change and collaboration.
