December is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and elevate — to acknowledge the progress you’ve made, the awareness you’ve built, and the connections you’ve strengthened through the power of Everything DiSC®.
As another year draws to a close, we at DISCsimple invite you to slow down, take stock, and recognise how far you and your teams have come. Whether you discovered DiSC for the first time this year or deepened your understanding of your behavioural style, this is the moment to celebrate your journey and prepare to take it even further.
- Reflect — The Reality of What Has Been
Every journey of growth begins with curiosity. When many people first encounter DiSC, they wonder, “What difference can understanding my style really make?”
Over the past year, we’ve seen individuals, leaders, and teams across organisations answer that question in inspiring ways. DiSC provides a common language for understanding ourselves and each other, helping us recognise what drives us, what drains us, and how we can adapt for better outcomes.
Perhaps you recognised how your Dominance style propels you forward and discovered that pausing to invite collaboration brings even better results. Or maybe, as an Influence style, you learned the value of clarity and follow-through. Those with Steadiness found confidence to speak up, while Conscientioustypes realised that perfection isn’t always necessary for progress.
Reflection isn’t just looking back; it’s acknowledging growth. It’s saying:
- Here’s what I discovered.
- Here’s how I showed up.
- Here’s how I’ve changed.
- Recognise — What You’ve Achieved
In the rush of goals and deadlines, recognition often gets left behind. Yet taking time to recognise progress – both individually and collectively – fuels engagement and motivation.
Through DiSC, we’ve watched countless teams develop:
- Self-awareness gained. Realising that behaviour matters, and that awareness is the foundation of all change.
- Behavioural shifts made. People flexing their natural tendencies – slowing down, speaking up, asking more questions, or listening more deeply.
- Relationships improved. Less friction, more trust, better collaboration.
These shifts may seem small day to day, but together they create lasting impact. Take a moment to list three things you or your team did differently this year and three ways others adapted positively in return.
Recognition isn’t self-congratulation; it’s clarity about what works, and why.
- Elevate — The Next Chapter
“Celebrate and Elevate” isn’t just our December theme; it’s a mindset for sustainable growth. Reflection and recognition prepare the ground for elevation, turning insight into action.
As we step into the new year, consider these prompts:
- Set a learning intention. Instead of a resolution, choose one behavioural elevation based on your DiSC style.
If you’re a C-style, commit to speaking up earlier rather than perfecting every detail first.
If you’re an I-style, build in structure that helps turn ideas into action.
- Embed small habits. After key meetings or conversations, take one minute to ask: Which styles were present?
Did I adapt?
What could I do differently next time?
- Celebrate often. Don’t wait until next December to reflect. Quarterly “mini-DISCmas” check-ins keep learning alive and motivation high.
Elevation happens through repetition – one mindful action at a time.
- DISCmas — A Celebration Worth Having
At DISCsimple, we love a good celebration, especially when it has meaning. “DISCmas” is our way of combining festive cheer with purposeful reflection.
Why not create your own DISCmas moment?
- Team version: Gather together to share your DiSC styles, one highlight from the year, and one focus for the year ahead.
- Recognition version: Celebrate colleagues who demonstrated flexibility, awareness, or courage to grow beyond their comfort zone.
- Personal version: Write a short letter to your future self about how you showed up this year, what you’re proud of, and what you’ll elevate next.
However, you celebrate, make it intentional because acknowledging growth is what turns learning into lasting change.
- Look Back. Lift Up. Lead On.
This phrase captures what December is all about for us.
- Look back – to see how far you’ve come.
- Lift up – to appreciate yourself and others.
- Lead on – to carry those insights forward into the year ahead.
When we reflect, recognise, and elevate, we create stronger leaders, healthier teams, and workplaces where people thrive.
- Inspiration for the Journey
“You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.”– Brené Brown
“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress; working hard for something we love is called passion.” – Simon Sinek
Awareness of your DiSC style helps you own your story, – to lead with purpose and passion rather than pressure and assumption.
- A Final Reflection
As we close the year, we want to thank every client, facilitator, and partner who has shared the DiSC journey with us. Your commitment to understanding yourself and others makes workplaces everywhere more connected, compassionate, and effective.
Take 30 minutes this week to reflect, recognise, and celebrate.
Plan your DISCmas moment and step confidently into 2026 with clarity, intention, and connection.
From all of us at DISCsimple – thank you for being part of our community this year. Let’s continue to Celebrate and Elevate together.
